Age Spots

‘Age spots’, ‘liver spots’ , ‘sunspots’ or’ brown spots’ are colloquialisms for solar lentigines and seborrheic keratoses and occur on the face, hands and body. They can be treated using the FRAXEL and CYNOSURE lasers. With either of these treatments, redness, swelling or bronzing may occur for several days. One to two treatments are generally required for optimal results. Thicker lesions (those raised above the skin surface) may not respond to laser therapy and may require mechanical removal using freezing, electrodesiccation or scraping modalities.
