Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Pyruvic Acid peels

Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Pyruvic Acid peels superficially resurface skin to reduce fine lines, lighten brown spots or other discoloration, treat acne as well as rejuvenate the overall appearance of the skin. Your dermatologist will help you determine which type of peel is best for your skin type and skin condition. For optimal results peels are typically performed in a series of 3 – 6 monthly sessions and then once a season for ongoing maintenance. These peels can improve one’s skin texture and color leaving skin with a smoother, cleaner appearance. Also, chemical peels are helpful in treating sun damage and melasma (facial pigmentation). TRICHLOROACETIC ACID (TCA) peels are deeper peels which can be more effective for deeper facial lines and wrinkles.
